The BIGA has a great mission for preservation, revitalization and up-gradation of indigenous game events that are going to disappear from the society. The association has been working hard for bringing back all popularity of indigenous games with new vigor and awareness. With this mission, the association has been organizing the indigenous games festival every year in the region giving chance to unlimited number of participants besides organizing indigenous games competitions in Baokhungri festival, Kokrajhar which is celebrated in connivance with the Assamese New Year, Bwisagu-Bihu, one of the most spectacular festivals in lower Assam in particular and the state as a whole. The association has been in search of such diminishing games and communicating with different tribal and indigenous communities of the state to for extension of its operatives and inducting more indigenous game events. It has also a mission of introducing some indigenous game events in school co-curriculum activities and discussion in this regard with the education department of BTC in presence of respective EM and Director has taken place. The Director of Education, BTC has sought detailed and standard rules and regulation of at least two events for introducing in the schools. The initiative is progressing.
